When I originally noticed this keyword was trending it didn’t dawn on me WHY until after I realized the holiday was coming up.
Remember. It’s YOUR business to KNOW what’s going with YOUR BUSINESS.

a) Monitor keywords and trending topics using Google trend explorer.
b) Review the products that people have been searching for in the last 7, 30, or 90 days.
c) Identify the keywords that are most closely related to your business.
d) Make a note of how these terms relate to your niche.
e) Use pro tools to encourage comments on your site to further the understanding of what your audience wants.
#2 – Give it to them.
Using the information collected above solve problems with brand new high quality search engine optimized content.
People love to throw money at their problems.
It’s like a built in reflex in our “modern” society.
I’ve Gotta problem? Oh that means I have to BUY something.
What’s the problem here? People hate getting rained on. It’s the spring season and it’s rainy now.

NO, your article doesn’t have to be about selling an umbrella. It just has to use this term.
This works because people have the idea fresh on their mind.
Here’s some example titles:
- Restaurant: Bring your umbrellas when it’s raining and get a free appetizer.
- Hair Salon: Keep losing your umbrellas? Check out our BRAND NEW water resistant spring styles.
- Entertainment: DJ such and such featuring MC whatchamacallit The umbrellas fellas we make it rain.

b) Leverage what’s HOT and right now that’s slideshare, use it. Here’s an outstanding case study.

#3 Give them something else.
Remember it’s all about STRATEGY.
This concept is bigger than just what you do.
It’s all about when, where, why, and HOW you do it.
If you want someone to give you their contact information you must first understand WHY they would want to do something like that in the first place.
Then you should know WHEN and WHERE to ask for their information and HOW to ask for it.
You can just offer them something really ENTICING and USEFUL for free in exchange for their email address.
