If you’re like me and were born on January 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, or 29th then maybe you know what I’m talking about.
If you are born on these days eventually you will come to realize a connection to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Here’s two interesting facts we all share:
- Our birthday is ALWAYS on the same day as New Years day.
- Our birthday is ALWAYS on the same day as MLK’s.

Now Imagine growing up in America in the 80′s and 90′s with an annual reminder of MLK right next to YOUR birthday every year.
It starts to wear on you.
It’s like you feel a duty or a calling to do or say something.
Almost like being haunted or something… it’s actually kinda weird.
I’m sure people who’s birthday is even a few days before or after his like my brother can relate too.
As time passes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stands out more and more when you talk about REAL leadership.
These days all you see is sports cars, fancy “bling”, and “opulence” as Jay-Z put it.
What ever happened to Justice? When did a new war become the best solution for an old war? WTF is AFRICOM?
The economy is still JACKED UP because the gambler banks got bailed out and the “stupid” Americans got stuck with the bill.
Small business owners are still struggling to survive or they’re fighting for their turn at the government teet.
Just like big corporations and working Americans who are deciding its better to just go on government welfare instead of living with the poverty level earnings they can get from their own efforts.
See what I mean?
I told you I can’t help it. Actually, I feel like I should be doing more. It’s like I want MLK to be proud of me one day or something.
As a matter of fact all business owners should be focused on justice and morality as this will determine your success as much as anything else.
The more liberty and prosperity people have the more business they will generate.
The less they have the more everyone suffers.

Now it’s over to you.
What do you think. Should I just shut up about it and not bring up this kind of stuff?
Or is it important enough for entrepreneurs?
Here’s a question for you:
– Would MLK supported Obama? Why or why not? Please be frank in your comments, keep it real for 2013.
He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.
